15 players ready to follow Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo out the door at Man Utd as he nears exit.
Although Cristiano Ronaldo is hoping to leave Manchester United this summer, there are more than a dozen other players who might also leave Old Trafford.
One of the 15 Manchester United players who may leave the team before the new season begins is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo, 37, is the lone player who has not reported to the club’s preseason training this month owing to “family circumstances” and wants to quit United only one year after his return to Old Trafford. This indicates that the top Portuguese player is not among the club’s 31-man preseason group traveling to Thailand and Australia.

This year, there has already been a large player exodus from United. Paul Pogba is searching for a new team after United announced his departure at the conclusion of his contract before the team officially said Jesse Lingard farewell. Then it was reported that Spanish playmaker Juan Mata will leave at the conclusion of his contract.
Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant, who has taken up a coaching position at Ipswich Town, have both left Manchester United’s first-team roster. Nemanja Matic has also gone, joining Roma. While Andreas Pereira went to Fulham on a permanent basis, Dean Henderson has signed a season-long loan agreement with Nottingham Forest.
Although the United team has drastically shrunk since the previous season, there are still quite a few more departures that are probable, either on loans or permanent agreements.
This is demonstrated by the absence of Shola Shoretire and Alvaro Fernandez from the preseason trip. Both players are among the club’s top-rated Under-23 players, and Championship teams are interested in signing them on loan.
This summer, the club will also consider bids for three veteran defenders already on the roster. Diogo Dalot has replaced Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the right-back starter in the first team, while Eric Bailly and Phil Jones have also been made available to other teams since Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Victor Lindelof are all ahead of them in the hierarchy.
Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellestri, who both joined the club on the final day of the summer transfer window in 2020 and have since each returned from loan stints at Rangers and Alaves, respectively, will also be the subject of conjecture over their futures.
Both are unlikely to play a significant role in Erik ten Hag’s first-team plans this year.
Brandon Williams, who recently returned from a loan to Norwich, has been further pushed down the United hierarchy by the signing of Tyrell Malacia. Teden Mengi and Tahith Chong will both be loaned out once more after spending time at Birmingham.
Ethan Laird is also in demand after making an impression at Swansea City and then Bournemouth.
Along with defender Will Fish, who was dismissed in the 3-1 friendly victory against Crystal Palace on Tuesday, goalkeepers Nathan Bishop and Matej Kovar are also expected to depart the preseason trip.
