The 23-year-old, who has played in six La Liga games and earned one assist, is undoubtedly expensive. However, according to SPORT, he is still viewed as a major priority at Spotify Camp Nou since he meets a number of requirements.
First of all, he impresses Xavi and his support team with his handling of the ball in the middle of the field. Zubimendi has also demonstrated leadership characteristics despite his youth, something Barcelona will need as we approach the 2023–24 season.
Barcelona believes that Zubimendi, like Busquets, can add a wonderful balance to the club because of his physical strength and ability to win the ball in one-on-one situations.
It would be an extreme understatement to say that Barcelona has recently developed an interest in Zubimendi. In fact, it has come to light that he has been on the Blaugrana’s agenda for some time, but the team feels that this is the ideal moment to act.
All of this is due to the fact that Busquets will leave Barcelona at the conclusion of the current campaign in order to fulfill his desire to play in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.
In terms of Zubimendi, the 23-year-old has made a name for himself in a remarkably short period of time. Barcelona believes that his ambition and desire to capture significant titles would make him an ideal fit for the team.
