A Taxi Driver Who Drove 75 Miles To Give Manuel Neuer His Lost Wallet Back Left ‘Bitterly Disappointed’.
An endeavor by a taxi driver to return Manuel Neuer’s stolen wallet resulted in his being “bitterly disappointed” after traveling 120 kilometers (74.5 miles).
According to reports, the driver, identified as “Hazir S.,” took Neuer and a buddy from Munich’s Odeonsplatz to an apartment complex in the Lehel neighborhood, according to Sky Germany.
Hazir “immediately” recognized Neuer, although he stayed away from the Bayern Munich goalie. The taxi driver completed a brief journey to his destination and then remained working all day.
He made a find, though, when he subsequently washed the car. In the vehicle, Neuer had left his wallet.
Neuer’s name and address were clearly visible on a card, so Hazir knew it was his wallet. The wallet also included a black Mastercard and a Platinum Visa Card, as well as ‘possibly’ €800.
The cab driver was determined to get the owner of the wallet back, and with the help of a passerby, he was able to send the wallet and his contact information to Neuer’s boss in Tegernsee, a town in the Miesbach area of Bavaria.
Hazir was “outraged” two weeks later when he received a jersey in the mail without making any remarks.
The cab driver has acknowledged being dissatisfied with the alleged payment after traveling “at least” 120km to deliver the wallet, especially given that he reportedly spent €400 on the trip.
“The finder’s fee is ridiculous. Four of my children are “through Sky Germany, he added. “I am powerless over the shirt.”
A finder is legally entitled to five percent of the entire value up to a value of €500. Only 3% more is charged for items costing more than €500.
Therefore, €25 is equal to 5% of the €500 discovered in Neuer’s wallet, and €9 is added for the remaining €300, or 3% of the total.
If you do the arithmetic, this implies that the finder is entitled to €34, which is often less than the market value of a Bayern shirt, which is around €100.
Nevertheless, the investigation asserts that Hazir spent a total of €400 on the trip.
