The shocking news that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid in January has prompted Carlo Ancelotti to respond.
According to rumors in Spain, Mbappe wants to leave PSG since his connection with the team is “totally destroyed.”
Before signing a lucrative new contract, the 23-year-old said last summer that he wanted to leave Paris.
Real’s eye-popping £154 million offer was rejected by PSG last summer, and the French club will also decline to sell the star forward to the Spanish powerhouse.
The media has however continued to query Ancelotti about the potential signing of Mbappe, who is reportedly considering a switch to Los Blancos.
Tuesday’s 1-1 tie between his team and Shakhtar Donetsk prompted him to ask: “If Mbappe will come in January? You’re brave to pose the question. I won’t respond.
He said, “I don’t have to respond.”
The Mbappe rumors started to circulate prior to PSG’s Champions League match against Benfica, and Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher denounced them.
And in reaction to rumors that their prized asset was leaving, club sports director Luis Campos made a furious statement.
He said, “I’m here to categorically deny that he (Mbappe) spoke to me or to my president about departing in January.” “This issue was never raised, and we never discussed it.
