Ansu Fati frustrated and disappointed with recent treatment by manager ahead of International break.
The Spain team for the forthcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Switzerland and Spain, which will be La Roja’s final assignments before the FIFA World Cup in November, was unveiled by Luis Enrique late last week.
Even though the Spain manager chose up to six Barcelona players, Ansu Fati was conspicuously absent from the team.
Enrique was glad to choose Jordi Alba, who has not played much this season either, but he gave the 19-year-old wonderkid’s lack of starts as the reason for his exclusion.
After being passed over by Enrique for the Spain team, Fati has now been left feeling “frustrated and disillusioned,” according to Adrian Sanchez.
The teenager was called up by the former Barcelona manager during the most recent international break despite the fact that he was coming off of a protracted injury and hadn’t played frequently in a while.

Although Fati did not play any minutes for La Roja during that call-up, his inclusion in the squad suggested that he would be a part of the team’s World Cup preparations. The most recent snub raises questions about whether Ansu Fati will be traveling to Qatar in November given the current snub.
According to Adrian Sanchez’s update, the La Masia graduate is having difficulty returning to his peak performance level after suffering multiple injury setbacks over the past two years.
To prevent any injury relapses, Barcelona manager Xavi has been using Fati very gently. However, the adolescent is not precisely regaining his rhythm despite the controlled game time.
With only a few months until the World Cup, the upcoming month could be crucial in determining Fati’s success because Barcelona will play two games every week until early November and Xavi will be need to routinely rotate his players.
