Arsenal could use relationship with Real Madrid to secure transfer of top star this summer, with three days left until deadline day.
Arsenal can achieve a last-minute deal for Marco Asensio by leveraging their “excellent relationship” with Real Madrid. Asensio is once more mentioned in connection with the Arsenal as they look to sign a winger before the transfer market closes on Thursday.
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, revealed last week that signing a wide player had been his summer’s goal. There is now room in his team thanks to Nicolas Pepe’s loan move to Nice.
Their top aim is Pedro Neto of the Wolves, but a trade in current window might be too expensive. Additionally, Wilfried Zaha has once more been speculatively connected to a move outside of London.
But if Asensio finally moves to the Premier League, it would put an end to years of rumors. Arsenal, according to the Spanish publication Libertad Digital, are interested in signing the 26-year-old.
Following prior transfers, it is asserted that Arsenal and Real have a “fantastic relationship.” The most recent transaction between Arsenal and Real occurred last summer when Martin Odegaard was acquired permanently after initially being placed on loan.
For a few seasons, they also had Dani Ceballos on loan from the Bernabeu. And the Gunners might sign Asensio to benefit from that link.
At the appropriate price, Asensio will be permitted to leave Real. However, he has not yet received a concrete offer.
The international player from Spain is in the last year of his Real Madrid deal and has also been linked with teams like Manchester United and AC Milan. This season, Asensio has only made one appearance.
