Arsenal given £50m right-back fix for Tekehiro Tomiyasu struggles as the Japanese youngster steps up recovery.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has been absent for Arsenal since he sustained an injury in the 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool in January.
The 23-year-old Japanese international was initially replaced by Ben White before Mikel Arteta received a boost with the return of Cedric Soares from injury.

Portuguese right-back Cedric Soares has been a consistent performer for Arsenal and contributed to the six Premier League wins from the last seven matches.
The 30-year-old faced criticism when called upon last season, but has stepped up his game since then.
Ben White, who made a shock £50m move away from Brighton in the summer has stepped up for the Gunners after Tomiyasu’s injury.
He started playing as a right-back as Mikel Arteta was left with no hope after the injury of Tomiyasu.
How Gareth Southgate follows Mikel Arteta’s footsteps
Ben White received a call-up to the England national team this month with the Arsenal £50m star earning a starting spot against Switzerland. He started the game from the right hand flank with Kyle Walker-Peters up front.
The Spanish manager has nothing to worry about with the availability of Ben White. Bukayo Saka has linked up well with Tomiyasu from the right hand flank.
What is Tekehiro Tomiyasu’s fear?
The Gunners supporters hope that he comes back with his top consistent performance as Cedric stepped up his game.
Mikel Arteta’s men have won their last 6 of their last 7 games and Cedric played a big role.
It seems like his spot is now at risk as the Portuguese elite convinced the Spanish manager. As stated, Ben White is an option if both right-backs are not available for selection.
