Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona lost the UEFA Champions League trophy against Lyon tonight after a disappointing 3-1 defeat.

The Barcelona femeni gave everything on the pitch tonight, but couldn’t win the Champions League women trophy.

Lyon showed more desire to win the game after the three early goals scored against Barcelona. Lyon gave it all tonight and it’s a well deserved victory.

The French side failed to win the Women Champions League trophy last season and they came very close. The team came back stronger to defeat Barcelona in the final.

Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona lost the UEFA Champions League trophy

It’s not a night to remember for Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala, after she failed to lift the Champions League trophy.

She came into the game in the second half, as Barcelona were two goals down. Oshoala has started the last three games from the bench and it’s disappointing.

When she came on, she was looking dangerous and she became a big threat to the defenders. Oshoala could have scored if she started the game tonight.

Henry, Hergerberge and Macario are all on the scoresheet for Lyon. Barcelona captain Alexia scored the only goal for Barcelona tonight.

The team will be back stronger next season and it’s a campaign to be proud of.
