Barcelona and Chelsea are set to battle it out for Australian talent as Xavi eye Aubameyang replacement.
FC Barcelona hasn’t turned their attention away from the market despite the fact that the summer transfer window is officially closed and they are still keeping an eye on a few promising young players.
Garang Kuol of the Central Coast Mariners, who appears to be developing into one of the most sought-after Australian players in the market, is one of those choices.
The Age has reported this and claims that a large number of clubs are vying for Kuol’s services during the upcoming January transfer window, including Barça.
Kuol is a center-forward who currently plays for Central Coast Mariners in the Australian A-League. The teenage player has enjoyed a quick ascent to fame this season; in just nine competitive games for his team, he has already scored four goals.
Although Kuol is only 175 cm tall, his skill at scoring goals and adaptability have mesmerized onlookers, making him a desirable target for Barcelona.

The Catalans, however, are not alone in the pursuit and might encounter fierce opposition from Chelsea and other European powerhouses. The teenager is allegedly evaluating his best choice and Newcastle United is leading the race to sign him.
In the lengthy and fascinating history of FC Barcelona, neither a male nor a female Australian player has ever competed for the team. If the club is able to capture Kuol, though, that situation might change.
The 17-year-old has demonstrated great promise and possesses what it takes to leave Barça Athletic.
However, the Catalans may have a very difficult time attracting Kuol to Barcelona. There is no reason why Kuol couldn’t be the next, especially given the Bundesliga’s propensity to become home to brilliant young players. The player’s agent John Grimaud has already arranged a move to Stuttgart for his brother.
But given how well Barça has done recently in terms of developing young players, Kuol may find a move to Camp Nou to be rather appealing as he wants to advance in his career.
