Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to battle it out for Brazilian talent in the summer 2023, with the 16-year-old ready for a move.
The next big thing in Brazilian football is said to be Endrick. At the age of just 16, the young player from Palmeiras has made a significant impression in the minor levels and will soon make his professional debut.
According to Diario SPORT, a number of clubs in Europe, notably FC Barcelona, are keeping an eye on the young player. The youthful attacker, who is expected to make his debut in the upcoming match against Santos, has attracted interest from Real Madrid as well.
Endrick, a center-forward by trade, has scored six goals for Copinha.
He has consistently performed well in Brazilian football’s youth divisions, and it now seems like a senior call-up is imminent.
Endrick has already been working out with Palmeiras’ senior team for a week, and according to the Brazilian media, manager Abel Ferreira is expected to give him a chance against Santos on Sunday in Sao Paulo.
When Endrick turned 16 in July, he signed his first professional contract. He agreed to a three-year contract that will last till 2025. It gives Palmeiras the negotiating power to demand a high price for the young phenom, who may eventually play in one of Europe’s top divisions.
After watching Endrick’s impressive achievements in the youth divisions, Palmeiras supporters have been clamoring for his top-flight debut already.
As a result, Barcelona is keeping a close eye on the player and is aware of his circumstances because he is one of the team’s top transfer targets for the long term.
Even though the player won’t be able to travel to Spain until he becomes 18, it won’t be shocking to see the Catalans attempt to recruit the 16-year-old in the near future.
