Barcelona are set to complete the signing of Naby Fekir in the coming hours after Aubameyang and Braithwaite’s departure.
Nabil Fekir, a playmaker for Real Betis, is about to be signed by Barcelona in an unexpected deadline-day deal, according to Manu Sainz of Diario AS.
Barcelona was reportedly ready to make a surprise signing before the transfer market closed earlier today, according to reports that surfaced earlier today. In an interview, club president Joan Laporta made a similar suggestion.
And even though it was ruled out that Fekir was the player, it turns out that Fekir is the one who is now rumored to be moving to Camp Nou.
According to Manu Sainz’s update, the 29-year-old is at Real Betis’ offices to arrange his leave and go to Barcelona before the transfer window deadline expires.
Fekir, an outstanding attacking midfielder who joined Real Betis in 2019 from Olympique Lyon, has established himself as a key member of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

Fekir has made 122 appearances for Los Verdiblancos and has tallied 22 goals and 25 assists. This season, he has two assists in three La Liga games.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup champion is an attacking midfielder by trade, and if he completes the transfer, he will give Barcelona’s offense another creative aspect. He can play in a variety of positions in the final third of the field.
Earlier this year, Fekir renewed his contract with Betis through 2026. Therefore, it is unknown how much the Catalans will pay to sign him.
