Barcelona confirmed stance on Marco Asensio transfer move next summer, after he failed to leave the club last summer.
Asensio will probably also leave Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign. The international player from Spain has little chance in Carlo Ancelotti’s game plan because he has dropped behind Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eden Hazard in the hierarchy.
While Barça may not have made any moves just yet, Asensio should have no trouble finding suitors given how highly regarded the Spaniard is due to his wealth of experience and winning attitude, which could be assets for any top team in Europe.
Gerard Romero, who recently shared his perspective on the matter, asserted that there is no ongoing conversation between Barcelona and Marco Asensio. But it doesn’t mean Barcelona isn’t looking for alternatives in the transfer market. Given that some great players are unclear of their futures at Camp Nou, the Catalans actually have a dire need for further attacking reinforcements.
One player that has slipped down the list is Memphis Depay, who might be sold in January.
