Barcelona has been offered the chance to sign Bundesliga striker, as he is yet to extend his contract.
Barcelona has reportedly been given the chance to sign numerous football players on free transfers next summer, including Youssoufa Moukoko, a teenager who plays for Borussia Dortmund, according to the front page of Mundo Deportivo on November 1.
The 17-year-old is in the last year of his deal with the Bundesliga’s top team and is rumored to be leaving this summer. Barcelona is one of the teams said to be interested in the young striker, and they have now been presented with an opportunity to sign him for free in 2023.
At Dortmund, Moukoko rose through the ranks until making his first-team debut in 2020. His stature has increased over the current season, with a return of four goals and six assists from 18 games across all competitions.
The young player has already proven himself on international platforms, scoring six goals in just five games for the German Under-21 team.
Moukoko, a goal scorer with tremendous potential, is sure to draw Barcelona’s attention if he becomes available on a free transfer. The 17-year-old might be considered Robert Lewandowski’s capable backup at center forward for Spotify Camp Nou.
There will be space for another forward since Memphis Depay is expected to leave either in January or at the end of the current campaign. The young Moukoko could prove to be a wise signing for the Blaugrana.
It would be interesting to watch if Barça takes advantage of the opportunity to sign him in 2023 now that his services are being offered.
In addition to Moukoko, the Catalan giants have apparently been given the chance to sign Chelsea midfielders Jorginho and N’Golo Kante as well as Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot.
Barcelona will continue to explore for unrestricted transfer opportunities in the market, Mateu Alemany recently said. The possibility of any of the aforementioned quartet playing at Camp Nou next summer will be intriguing to see.
