Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez revealed players he considers as the top three strikers in Europe.
Xavi Hernandez, the manager of Barcelona, has identified the top three center strikers in current European football.
The 42-year-old was commenting following Wednesday night’s 5-1 thrashing of Viktoria Plzen by the Blaugrana in their Group C match at Spotify Camp Nou.
Robert Lewandowski, who made his club’s Champions League debut with a magnificent hat-trick, was brilliant, and Barça benefited from his performance. The final two goals, one on either side of the treble by the Poland international, were scored by Franck Kessie and Ferran Torres.
Xavi was questioned whether Lewandowski was the top scorer right now after the game. The 34-year-old superstar was clearly Barcelona’s finest center-forward, according to the manager at first.
Lewandowski may not be the best striker in Europe, but he is the best striker for us, according to Xavi’s initial statement.

He then listed Lewandowski as one of the top three scorers in the league right now, along with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Real Madrid star and Ballon d’Or favorite Karim Benzema.

Lewandowski, who transferred from Bayern Munich to Barcelona this past summer, has had a fantastic start to life as a player.
The 34-year-old, along with the aforementioned Haaland and Benzema, will undoubtedly be in the running for the Golden Boot award at the end of the season after scoring eight goals in just five games across all competitions.
