Barcelona risk missing out on next Pedri Gonzalez after a failed summer move.
Barcelona attempted to use a similar maneuver to get Alberto Moleiro earlier this summer after signing Pedri from Las Palmas in 2019. Alberto Moleiro is a young Spanish prodigy.
The 18-year-old has been on the Catalan club’s radar for a long, and this past summer, negotiations over a trade took place between them and Las Palmas.
Negotiations on a deal with guaranteed payments of roughly €10 million broke down amid a disagreement over the variables, and Barça withdrew from the project due to their precarious financial circumstances.
However, interest in Moleiro has never subsided, and it has always been thought that talks between the two teams might resume, according to Mundo Deportivo.
However, the 18-year-old is currently drawing significant interest from a number of other clubs, and Barcelona could risk losing out on him if they do not move quickly, according to the source.
After the agreement with Barcelona fell through, Las Palmas locked Moleiro into a new contract that is valid until 2026. The club from the second division also included a €30 million release clause to the contract as part of the deal.

Furthermore, if Las Palmas is promoted to La Liga, which is highly likely given that they are presently in first place in La Liga 2, the release clause value has the potential to increase by up to €60 million.
Barcelona will have to contend with fierce competition from a number of clubs who are interested in the brilliant Moleiro, as if these financial obstacles weren’t enough.
According to the source, the 18-year-old would be open to receiving offers from the aforementioned teams as early as January in order to finalize a deal, though he is anticipated to finish the season at his hometown club.
Additionally, it is stated that Barcelona has not yet made any new attempts to reopen negotiations with Las Palmas. Miguel Angel Ramrez, the club’s president, has not been informed of any interest from the Blaugrana and will bring up Moleiro’s release clause if one is made.
In his first six games of the 2022–23 season, Moleiro has assisted three goals and made his debut for the Spanish Under-21 national team. Barcelona must move quickly to sign the adolescent due to growing interest and the potential for his release clause to double in value.
