Barcelona were close to signing Spanish international Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig on deadline day, but it’s in vain.
In the summer of 2022, Barcelona added Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, two of the most significant attacking acquisitions in Spain.
Numerous reports claim that Xavi’s team is still interested in signing Dani Olmo and Nabil Fekir in addition to the aforementioned pair, and a recent development raises the prospect of both transfers succeeding.
According to the most recent details offered by journalist Sergio Fernandez, Barcelona’s effort to sign both players on a loan basis was unsuccessful.
It is thought that RB Leipzig did not even immediately engage the discussions for a loan swap in the instance of Olmo.
Real Betis did not want to make any moves for Fekir either, particularly given the little window of time left to find a successor. The likelihood of any switch involving the latter was already stated by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
It has been rumored that Xavi has been considering signing Bernardo Silva from Manchester City for much of the current summer.
One of the talking points that has circulated around the transfer crisis has been how the Barcelona manager’s plan was to play a 3-4-3 formation with the Portuguese midfielder lining up behind Robert Lewandowski.

All expectations of a dream transfer, however, were crushed on Thursday when Bernardo expressed his wish to remain at the Etihad Stadium.
It’s probable that Dani Olmo and Nabil Fekir were examined as candidates to play behind Robert Lewandowski given their versatility as offensive midfielders.
Unfortunately for the Spanish giants, they will have to set their attention on other alternatives as deadline day is nearing completion
