BREAKING: Barcelona La Masia Youngster completed a permanent move to Real Madrid
Iker Bravo, a former student of Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, has joined rivals Real Madrid, according to journalist Gerard Romero.
Bravo, now 17 years old, began his youth career at Barça’s La Masia facility and was highly regarded while a member of the Catalan club. The striker joined the team’s Under-16 program in 2020 but left a year later when he signed with Bayer Leverkusen.
The center-forward, who joined the German club last year, made a lot of progress for their Under-17 and Under-19 teams.
Bravo scored three goals in three games for Die Werkself’s Under-17 team while tallying seven goals and three assists in just 14 games for the Under-19 team.
The young player made his Leverkusen senior debut in October of last year, but since then, he has only made one appearance for the first team.
And now, a year after leaving Spain, the young prodigy is returning, with Barcelona’s bitter rivals Real Madrid ready to sign him as soon as possible.
Atletico Madrid and Los Blancos engaged in a competitive bidding war to sign Bravo from Bayer Leverkusen. However, it appears that Spain and Europe’s reigning champions have won the conflict and will soon be boarding the 17-year-old.
Bravo will probably join Real Madrid Castilla once the transfer is complete, playing for club legend Raul Gonzalez. It will be intriguing to follow the former La Masia ace’s development in Madrid.
