BREAKING: Erik ten Hag has made a decision on Anthony Martial’s future after the Frenchman’s performances in the pre season so far.
On Man United’s preseason trip thus far, Anthony Martial has scored three goals in three games.
Anthony Martial, a striker for Manchester United, won’t be leaving this summer.
The 26-year-old Martial has three goals in three games while on United’s preseason tour of Thailand and Australia, but club insiders claim manager Erik ten Hag made the decision to keep Martial before the team’s flight to Bangkok.
After two unsuccessful seasons, United officials had anticipated that Martial would be among the club’s exiting players, but the France international has not found a market.
Martial, who is under contract to United through 2024 with an option for an extra year, joined Sevilla on loan in January but only managed to score once.
In the victories over Liverpool, Melbourne Victory, and Crystal Palace, Ten Hag began Martial, and the Frenchman is ready to open the campaign on August 7 against Brighton.
Because of a family matter, Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to participate in United’s preseason program. Ten Hag was obliged to turn to Martial, who has scored eight goals for United in the previous two seasons.
Since Ronaldo hasn’t trained with his teammates, his status hasn’t altered, and Ten Hag is getting ready to start Martial when the new season starts.
Ten Hag responded, “I’m convinced he can come back even better,” in response to a question regarding Martial in Melbourne. I believe that because he is a talented player, he will produce when he is motivated, focuses, and works hard.
“I say he will have productivity when he has the correct focus and consistently produces considerably,” you remark.
Martial joined United in 2015 after leaving Monaco in a £58 million transaction, and in 269 appearances he has scored 79 goals.
