Breaking: Mason Greenwood to remain on bail over rape and assault allegations that occurred in January, as he got omitted from the squad.
Manchester United kicked him out of the squad after the disturbing photos and videos were published on social media, by his one-time girlfriend Harriet Robson.
The case is yet to be finalized after the official statement released by the GMP this afternoon.
Greater Manchester Police statement on Mason Greenwood:
“Following a hearing yesterday (Thursday 23 June 2022), a 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to kill on Sunday 30 January 2022 remains on bail.
“As the outcome of bail reviews does not impact the progression of investigations, Greater Manchester Police will not be providing any further updates in relation to this case until the suspect is charged or released facing no further action.”
Breaking: Mason Greenwood to remain on bail
Bail reviews are to extend the time needed to investigate. GMP are basically saying they won’t provide public updates on bail reviews. They’ll provide updates when there’s actually a decision made on the case. Normal investigation process.
As things stand, Mason Greenwood remains a Manchester United player and the club could make a decision on his future, as a new season approaches under Ten Hag.
