Carlo Ancelotti is interested in signing Serie A and Napoli midfielder for Real Madrid next summer.
According to Italian journalist Valter de Maggio and reported by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is interested in signing Stanislav Lobotka, a mainstay in the midfield for Napoli.
In 2020, Lobotka joined Napoli from La Liga team Celta Vigo. Since then, he has been a member of the team. The 27-year-old has gradually turned into a Partenopei fixture in the middle of the field and has been crucial to their Serie A title defense this season.
Lobotka, a defensive midfielder by trade, has played 86 times for Napoli so far, making two goals and assisting on one more.
The Slovakian international is greatly admired by Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is eager to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to the report.
According to de Maggio, who was quoted by Mundo Deportivo, “a little bird told me that Ancelotti wants Lobotka at Real Madrid.”
Even though Casemiro left Real Madrid in the summer, the midfield still has a ton of talent. Since his arrival in the summer, Aurelien Tchouameni has adjusted well to his holding midfield position.
Along with him, Ancelotti also has players like Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and the others. Even though the last two are nearing the end of their careers, they are still in great shape and might agree to one-year extensions before the summer.
Additionally, Real Madrid is focused on Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham as the final component of their midfield transition.
It will be interesting to see how Ancelotti will incorporate Lobotka into his plans if he decides to sign the Slovakian. He might be considered a cover and Tchouameni’s rival for the No. 6 position.
The 27-year-old committed his future to Napoli by signing a new contract in January, which runs through the summer of 2025. It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid genuinely wants to sign Lobotka.
