Carlo Ancelotti press conference
Ancelotti message to the team: “For this match I have the same message as all the previous ones. We are close to winning the league, but we have important matches to play. It’s difficult, but we want to beat Osasuna and get closer to the title.”
“I have too much experience to believe that we’ve already won the league. We are doing well and we must continue like that, but it’s not over. By winning we have a great opportunity to get closer.”
“Rest for Benzema? When a player is well, he doesn’t need to rest. It doesn’t make sense not to play him, because he’s fine. Tomorrow he will play.”
“Rodrygo has made more of a difference when he came on from the bench. He’s having a great season. He has put his quality, skill, energy and speed at the service of the team and has helped us.”
“Asensio has also had a very good season and has scored many goals. We have enjoyed the quality of both him and Rodrygo.”
Luka Modric availability?
“Modric is a bit tired and I’ll give him a rest tomorrow. He isn’t going to play.”
Real Madrid Injury update
“Casemiro had a little problem yesterday, like Jovic and Mariano. Small problems that don’t allow them to play tomorrow, but we have a week before the City game and I think all three will be available.”
“I see Vinicius calm when he doesn’t score. He is not obsessed with scoring, but with helping the team.
He is doing very well since the start of the season and continues to do so. It’s important that he scores, but not the most important thing.”
