Chelsea are preparing a new bid for Barcelona sensation Alejandro Balde, after recent performance from the defender.
Over the past few years, Alejandro Balde has consistently been recognized as one of the Barcelona academy’s crown gems. And this campaign, the young player is gradually beginning to show his full potential after becoming an important part of Xavi’s setup thus far.
In fact, the left-back has played more than 300 minutes of league football, surpassing Marcos Alonso and Jordi Alba to become Barcelona’s top left-back.
But Balde’s outstanding performances haven’t gone unnoticed; according to Fichajes, Chelsea have recently expressed interest in the defender.
After Alonso’s deadline-day transfer to Barcelona, the article claims that the Premier League’s powerhouses are actively searching the market for a new left-back. Marc Cucurella had been signed by the Blues earlier in the summer. However, they lack faith in their other choice, Ben Chilwell, which has forced the club to look for a replacement.
