Chelsea plan shock double Barcelona transfer for Frenkie De Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as Tuchel is in love with the stars.
As Thomas Tuchel prepares to rekindle an old friendship, Chelsea is trying to strengthen its midfield and attacking areas. Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Barcelona are two players who have been linked to Chelsea.
Todd Boehly is trying to bolster Thomas Tuchel’s squad before the transfer window closes, so Chelsea’s scattergun transfer strategy is in full swing.
Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Frenkie de Jong, Levi Colwill, Carney Chukwuemeka, Malang Sarr, and Ross Barkley are already the subject of negotiations between the club and other parties, and the Blues have now added a shocking former Premier League forward to their list of potential additions this summer.
Tuchel is clearly valuing a blend of experience and young and has favored Premier League players in his attempts to enhance his team, a decision that has already prompted them to query about Cristiano Ronaldo. Tuchel has already completed transfers for Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
A new ownership group and Chelsea’s need for a reconstruction coincided this summer, making the transition incredibly hurried as the new season begins in three days. Chelsea are very active as targets appear all over the field.
The defense initially appeared to be the top focus, and since Fofana and Cucurella are still being closely followed, it still is. However, Tuchel is now looking to improve the attack, which has been a major weakness during his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a former striker for Arsenal, has already begun negotiations with Chelsea about a transfer to Stamford Bridge.
The international player from Gabon only joined the Catalan club in January after losing his captaincy at his previous club, Arsenal. Tuchel is trying to rekindle a relationship with the forward that they had at Borussia Dortmund, so sooner rather than later he might be returning to England.
“But I’m not interested, and I’m not concerned in what’s happening at his club right now. For this reason, I also want to respect Arsenal by not becoming involved and by abstaining from making moral judgments. This is unaffected by my relationship with Auba and the fact that I just have my photo.”
Although no offer has been made for the player as of yet, discussions between the clubs may be affected by Chelsea’s interest in De Jong as a surprise double swoop enters the picture, with Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta both being considered as potential players to move the opposite way.
De Jong’s precarious situation at the Camp Nou is being used by the Blues, as Juan Laporta is keen for the player to accept a pay cut despite being owed up to £17 million in deferred wages already. Chelsea has now been made aware of the situation, and negotiations are ongoing.
