Chelsea star Bakayoko held by Italian police at gunpoint in case of mistaken identity, after a gunshots in that same area he was spotted.

In a video shared by Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, armed police are seen restraining the former Monaco resident against a vehicle. While the two other cops aim their drawn weapons at the player’s car, one officer is seen emptying the midfielder’s pockets and tossing the items on the roof.

The cops are then seen gradually realizing their error and holstering their weapons once again before comforting the gamer with a slap on the back. According to a statement from the state, the player and his teammate “matched a description” from a shooting that happened in the city, which is why the stop was made.
