Christensen wrote his future on a piece of paper to be a professional footballer and play for Barcelona, everything he said this afternoon, during his presentation at the Camp Nou.
It’s a dream come true for the Danish defender and he can’t wait to get started. He was presented at the Camp Nou today and we’ll be revealing everything he said.
“When I was 8 years old I wrote my dreams for the future on a piece of paper: to be a professional footballer and play for Barca.”
“I’m not the biggest or the strongest, so it will be important for me to use my head well to play here at Barça, from what I’ve been told, this can help me a lot.”
Christensen on “Braithwaite? I spoke with him, but I also spoke a lot to other players who know the club and the Spanish culture, such as Marcos Alonso and César Azpilicueta. They not only spoke to me about football but about life here, and that also motivated me.”
“The last few weeks at Chelsea were tough but I’m proud to have been part of the club.”
“My goal is to play, that’s what all the players want. There is competition and that’s good because it makes me work harder. All Barça defenders are magnificent.”
“Xavi hasn’t asked me for anything special. I’m here because of who I am as a player and I think I fit in very well with Barça’s style. I don’t have to change, although I do improve every day.”
