The French midfielder made an announcement via social media this afternoon and he made it clear that he will no longer continue at the club.
An agreement with the Bayern Munich board couldn’t be reached and he decided to leave the club as it’s the perfect decision for both parties.

Robert Lewandowski was interviewed this afternoon and he sends a clear transfer warning to the Bayern Munich board.
Lewandowski: “I hope Bayern won’t stop me just because I’ve a contract until June 2023. Maybe I can give you informations after international matches”.
“My era at Bayern is over. I don’t see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore”
“Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don’t want to play there anymore. A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me”.
Barcelona have already reached a verbal agreement with Lewandowski on a three-year deal, waiting for FC Bayern.
