Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister slammed Portugal fans “sick and ungrateful” after disrespecting Manchester United legend.
In a stinging tirade directed at his detractors, Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro called Portugal supporters “petty, heartless, ignorant, and permanently ungrateful.”
English publication With the slogan “Less Ronaldo, More Portugal,” A Bola asked for the 37-year-old to be left out of Portugal’s starting lineup before their Nations League group-round match against Spain.
A few days after Ronaldo contributed an assist for his nation in their 4-0 victory over the Czech Republic in Prague, the report also stated that he “is losing influence in the selection.”
But with the World Cup in Qatar approaching, certain members of the Portuguese press are obviously of the opinion that he should not start.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus attacker has made just one Premier League start for Manchester United this year and has scored just one goal overall for Erik ten Hag’s team.
In response to these detractors, Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, blasted “the Portuguese” in an amazing Instagram post, calling them “sick, nasty, and foolish.” Ronaldo was defending United’s number 7 at the time.
“He is surrounded by his loved ones and his family. No matter what, they’ll always be by his side “She composed. “But I’m not at all surprised by the times we live in today. It’s customary for Portuguese people to spit on the plates they eat from.
“That’s why it upsets me when someone rises from the ashes and adopts a different mindset. My king, I’m always with you. Settle down.
“We must extend a helping hand to those who have always extended it to Portugal. The Portuguese, however, are always and forever ungrateful, dumb, sick, petty, and soulless. The person who is sitting is on his knees. Nobody is available to lend a help to him.
“It is vicious. And even when it was already excessive, he continued to give. The best player in the world is the one seated; his name is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo’s play continues to draw criticism, and former Italy international Antonio Cassano has advised the striker to “give himself a favor” and quit.
Cassano stated on the Muschio Selvaggio podcast that Cristiano should now “love oneself, give himself a favor, and recognize that, if he cannot achieve a level, he must stop his career.”
“He has triumphed in every endeavor; he is a marvel. It’s now time for retirement.
“I admire CR7 a lot, but I don’t think he’s a good player. Similar to Diego Maradona is [Lionel] Messi. He made sacrifices when he was forced to leave Argentina at the age of 14 and dealt with severe health issues.
