Enzo Fernandez price tag released as Real Madrid received green light to sign the Argentine midfielder.
Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, is wanted by Real Madrid. Their top transfer target for the upcoming campaign is the Englishman, and Los Blancos has been working diligently behind the scenes to make the trade happen.
However, Madrid will find it very difficult to make the transfer because Dortmund would likely demand close to €150 million for the Englishman. As a result, Argentine superstar Enzo Fernandez has caught the attention of Florentino Perez and company.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Benfica, who are also unwilling to play around, will seek “crazy money” for the young midfielder. According to the journalist, the cost might be close to €80–85 million.
Benfica has a reputation for being a strong negotiator and does not undervalue any of its game-changing assets. They most recently sold Darwin Nunez to Liverpool for €100 million and Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid for €120 million.
Due to competition from teams like Barcelona and Manchester United, Madrid may encounter additional difficulties in its pursuit of Enzo Fernandez. However, considering their financial difficulties, the former will probably not be able to spend up to €85 million on a player.
Not to add that Enzo’s price may rise more according on how well he performs at the 2022 World Cup. He scored for Argentina against Mexico to secure their 2-0 victory, and if he keeps putting up performances like this, Benfica may be able to hold out for a higher asking price.
