Excl: Bayern Munich midfielder has been given the green light to feature against Barcelona Tuesday.
On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich and Barcelona will square off in Group C of the UEFA Champions League. The German champions have also benefitted from an injury boost before the encounter.
Jamal Musiala, a star prospect, suffered a knock during the Bundesliga match between the Bavarian giants and VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.
He is, however, perfectly healthy and prepared to compete in the Champions League match that will take place next week, according to Tobi Altschaffl.
Musiala has solidified his position as one of the best young footballers in Europe and has integrated himself into the Julian Nagelsmann system at the Allianz Arena.
The versatile offensive midfielder, who is just 19 years old, has already contributed to two goals and six goals for Bayern Munich in just eight games across all competitions this season.
The Bundesliga champions were held to a 2-2 home tie on Saturday, with Musiala scoring for Die Roten against Stuttgart.
The German international scored just after the hour mark, but was replaced by Sadio Mane twenty minutes later due to an injury.
Musiala, though, is reportedly pain-free and has given the all-clear to participate in the Champions League match against Barcelona.
Musiala, a former FC Barcelona fan, is anticipated to be healthy and ready, but winger Kingsley Coman is most likely out for the Bavarian giants.
Last season, Bayern Munich and Barcelona were placed in the same Champions League group. The German champs dominated the Catalans in both of their games, defeating them 6-0 overall.
When Xavi and company take on Bayern at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night, they’ll be out for vengeance.
