Footage shows Lionel Messi was the only player to have ‘GOAT’ on the sleeve of PSG training top.
Since he was the sole player wearing the message on his Paris Saint-Germain warm-up shirt on Tuesday night, Lionel Messi’s status as the “GOAT” has been established.
The new sleeve sponsor for PSG is “GOAT,” a shoe marketplace launched in 2015 that is akin to Stock X.
They officially joined PSG in April, and their relationship strengthened when they were promoted to “primary partner” in July.
On the sleeves of kits, training shirts, and other match-related clothing, the company’s emblem can be seen, along with the motto “the global platform for the past, present, and future.”
The agreement has a three-year value of €50 million, according to the French daily L’Equipe.
But of of all the PSG players, only seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi wore GOAT on his sleeve prior to Juventus’ victory.
Where Messi had the logo printed, the other players, including Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, just had a blank spot.
All of the players wore GOAT on their sleeves during the real game, but Messi’s warm-up jersey seems to be an exception.
Messi was a part of the partnership’s formal photo session and is very certainly a major driving force behind it.
