Former Barcelona academy graduate open up to a possible Real Madrid move as he is ready to accept offer.
Former Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu acknowledged that if Real Madrid approached him, he would find it difficult to refuse them in an interview with MARCA.
The 28-year-old made his first-team debut for the club in 2011 under then-manager Pep Guardiola after rising through the ranks at Barcelona’s renowned La Masia youth system.
After spending time on loan with both the Toffees and Sevilla, he eventually departed the team in 2015 to join Everton.
Deulofeu eventually made his way back to Barcelona in 2017, re-signing with Everton. However, in January 2018, he was sent on loan to Watford, and six months later, the move was confirmed permanent.
After transferring to Udinese in 2020, Deulofeu has seen career success. The 28-year-old Spanish player has flourished in Serie A, ending the previous season with 13 goals while starting the 2022–23 season with one goal and six assists in eight games.

Deulofeu has acknowledged that he always finds the idea of going back to Spain enticing.
“I like it because it’s in Spain and we’ve talked to specific teams, but anything may happen,” the speaker said. I’ve been away for two years, and I know how it feels, so you have to appreciate the moment,” he remarked.
Deulofeu responded, “If they come, how are you going to say no,” when asked if he would be open to joining Real Madrid.
When asked who his idol was, Deulofeu chose Ronaldinho, a former Barcelona player. He also listed Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, and Lionel Messi as the three finest teammates he had ever had.
Over the course of his two stints with Barcelona, the 28-year-old made a total of 28 appearances, recording two goals and two assists each time.
