Four different clubs that Barcelona are still owing €144 million after summer recruitment.
It is no secret that Barcelona has faced significant financial difficulties in recent years. As a result, the club lost Lionel Messi, who was their star player, in 2021, and president Joan Laporta had to sell a number of assets this summer to keep them in the transfer market.
One of the biggest problems Barcelona is facing is an exorbitant salary bill that costs over €650 million annually. However, those are not the only financial issues the club is now dealing with.
As reported earlier, Barça still owe Messi a lot of money due to deferred wage payments, while several other players who accepted salary reductions and deferrals in the past couple of seasons are yet to be paid as well.
On top of that, according to a fresh report from journalist Laia Tudel, Barcelona still have pending transfer fee payments to clubs from whom they have signed players in the recent past.

Similarly, Barça are also yet to completely settle up their transactions with AFC Ajax. As per the report, the La Liga behemoths still owe the Dutch champions €32 million for the signing of Frenkie de Jong and an additional €10 million for the transfer of Sergino Dest.
Juventus are also due payment of €36 million from the Blaugrana for the signing of Miralem Pjanic in 2020.
Additionally, the Catalans still owe Liverpool €14 million for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho in 2018, which took place almost four years ago.
Barcelona owes a combined amount of €144 million in unpaid transfer fees to four other clubs, which they will need to pay up soon.
