“He was caught sleeping” Fans blamed Real Madrid goalkeeper for the cheap goal conceded against Morocco.
Thibaut Courtois has come under fire from fans online after Belgium’s humiliating 2-0 World Cup loss to Morocco.
Last Wednesday, Belgium defeated Canada 1-0 in their disappointing World Cup debut.
On Sunday, they lost to Morocco and appeared lethargic in their defeat of the North African nation.
Just before halftime, Hakim Ziyech thought he had scored when he blasted a free-kick past Courtois, but the goal was disallowed.
Abdelhamid Sabiri eventually scored for Morocco from a free kick in the second half, however, with a curling shot into the goal.
Fans, however, pointed the finger at the Real Madrid goalkeeper online and on social media.

“Courtois should be saving that man,” one Twitter user remarked.
Another tweeted: “Courtois actually gave up after the free kick, then. He was superior to Ter Stegen, the Real Madrid faithful declared. You can’t help but chuckle.”
“Can everyone now stop lying and trying to convince themselves that Courtois is better than Alisson,” a third person chimed in.
“If only Courtois played like that CL final,” a Liverpool supporter remarked.
A different person asked, “Why wasn’t Courtois that s**t when we played them in the Champions League final?”
Their chances of qualifying for the World Cup now depend on Courtois, who received a warning in the first half but was unable to stop the free-kick in the second.
Belgium currently holds the second-place spot in Group F with three points. Next Thursday when they play Croatia, they will continue their mission in Qatar.
