Life at Real Madrid
Higuain: “I’ve known Benzema since I was 19 years old, we competed for the position but we always get along well, we have a good relationship. It doesn’t surprise me that he is the best striker in the world.”
The first year that CR7 arrived, I scored 27 goals and he scored 26. I went on vacation and saw that they signed Benzema and Kaka. I call the club and tell them if I need to come back, what do I have to do? They said this is Madrid, you compete.”
“You have to adapt to such big players, who have that greed for goals, which is a good thing. Cristiano is a character when he plays and off the pitch he is calm and mature. We had a good relationship.”
