Romelu Lukaku has acknowledged that his lavish return to Chelsea was a “mistake” and that the upcoming season will be his “greatest challenge” yet.
Just one year after leaving the Italian team for the Blues in a £98 million trade, Lukaku is back at Inter Milan.
The 29-year-old struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, scoring just 15 goals last season in all competitions.
After scoring an incredible 64 goals in 95 appearances for Inter, he is now back where he experienced his career’s peak.
He praised the Nerazzurri and said that returning to Chelsea was a “mistake” in a scathing evaluation.

The chances of Lukaku returning to Chelsea following his loan spell at Inter appear to be slim considering his honest reflection. There’s a chance that Inter Milan will make the deal a permanent one next summer.
It’s up to the Belgium international to prove himself in the Serie A once again, cause I don’t see Chelsea taking him back after all these.
