The 26-year-old is no stranger to the Serie A; he spent last season playing for Fiorentina on loan before returning to Madrid in an effort to gain the manager’s confidence.
Despite the fact that the right-back is the only member of the senior team who has yet to play a single minute of football this year, it is evident that Ancelotti does not think highly of him four months into the new campaign.
Additionally, Odriozola would benefit from leaving if he could. For his signing, Roma will have to compete with their domestic rivals Juventus; the Bianconeri are rumored to be interested in the former Real Sociedad defender as well.
Odriozola’s Real Madrid contract is valid until the summer of 2024. As the player has only one year and a half left on his contract and doesn’t appear to be in Ancelotti’s plans for the Santiago Bernabeu, Florentino Perez will try to move the negotiations along quickly and offload the player.
