Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr won a prestigious award ahead of Real Madrid UEFA Super Cup final.
Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr and Karim Benzema won an award before the UEFA Super Cup final tonight. Both players did extremely well in the UEFA Champions League tournament last season.
Karim Benzema was named the best player of the tournament while Vinicius Jr won the best young player of the tournament.

Prior to Real Madrid’s first official match of the new year, the UEFA Super Cup match versus Eintracht Frankfurt in Helsinki, Ancelotti addressed the media on Tuesday night. The coach began his news conference by admonishing everyone not to fall for Bayern Munich’s 6-1 thumping of the Europa League champions last weekend.
We won’t be duped by that outcome, he declared. We must not overlook their successful Europa League campaign. They play with vigor and are a dynamic team. We’ll have to play and fight our way to victory.
We’ve been practicing well, and after winning the Champions League, we remain convinced that we can accomplish that. This upbeat attitude is what we want to bring into this season.
This season, Real Madrid is vying for six championships, and Ancelotti is aware that there will be challenges. “We’re going to battle for every competition, even if it will be challenging to win all six,” he declared.
That’s pretty challenging. However, it’s a really strong squad, and I have faith in it. It seems like a stronger team than previous year. We will so participate in each tournament. What we can control is that. It’s always special to win. I’m excited if we succeed. I’m disappointed if we don’t.
There is no obvious replacement for Benzema, and Ancelotti almost appeared to imply that it would be futile to attempt.
“If you lose the best striker in the world for a few games, that’s challenging because there isn’t a player who can replace him,” he asserted. We’ll adjust if he becomes ill. But we do have a large list of forwards. Asensio, Rodrygo, Hazard, Karim, Mariano, and… Anybody I missed?
