LIVE: Crystal Palace 1-3 Man Utd: Harry Maguire repeatedly booed by his own supporters as Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Martial all scored.

In the first half of Manchester United’s friendly match against Crystal Palace in Melbourne, Harry Maguire was shamefully jeered 18 times by some of his own fans.

For the entirety of the first half, Maguire was booed by the 76,499 spectators, the majority of whom were United supporters. Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial all scored for United in the 3-1 victory.

Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 to maintain their strong preseason record.

The Red Devils got out to the better start of the two teams, and Martial gave them the lead in the 17th minute. The Frenchman was open at the far post when Dalot’s cross arrived, and he took a challenging shot before hammering it into the goal for his third goal in three games.

Jadon Sancho in action

Erik ten Hag led Manchester United to a 3-1 victory over Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace in Melbourne, giving him three victories in a row.

After the halftime break, Marcus Rashford scored a second goal for Erik ten Hag’s team, who had been dominating the match thanks to Donny van de Beek’s cutback. Jadon Sancho scored a few seconds later after being set up by Anthony Martial and putting the ball into the corner.

Joel Ward helped Palace make a comeback with a quarter of an hour left, but it was too little, too late.

Once more, Manchester United defeated English competition in Australia while looking really good.

Erik Ten Hag has his side appearing more and more accomplished with each game, mostly with players he inherited.

As their frontline starts to gel, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho all scored, highlighting a crucial difference in their ability to sustain assaults.
