Luis Suarez ‘offered to Dortmund on free transfer’ as Sebastian Haller is diagnosed with testicular tumour.
Borussia Dortmund has allegedly received a bid for free agency striker Luis Suarez, who is still looking for a team.
Sebastien Haller, the team’s new No. 9, was forced to abandon the preseason training camp when a testicular tumor was found.
Haller, 28, acknowledged the horrifying findings of extensive medical tests but promised to “come back stronger” after a break.
According to Sky Germany, Dortmund’s managers must find a replacement on the field despite the awful news.
The former Liverpool striker has been suggested as an option by Suarez’s agents.
After spending $51 million on Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City, Dortmund still has a need for a top center striker.
Suarez meets the criteria and is a free agent as his contract expired in June.
The attacker transferred from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid in 2020 and competed in 83 appearances for Diego Simone, scoring 34 goals throughout all competitions.
He reportedly turned down a deal to Wayne Rooney’s DC United and is now in discussions to return to his boyhood team Nacional in Uruguay.
Snap shot As he vacationed in Ibiza with Lionel Messi, Suarez didn’t appear overly eager to find a new team.
The Uruguayan was joined by Cesc Fabregas on the Spanish island’s northern coast.
Messi’s birthday was observed by his former Barça teammates, who also attended a David Guetta concert.
Sebastian Kehl, the sporting director of BVB, stated that the team will support Haller during the entire process.
Added Kehl: “Sebastien Haller and I were both shocked to learn of this information today.
“Sebastien’s entire BVB family hopes for a speedy full recovery so we can all reclaim our hugs from him.

“We will exert every effort to guarantee that he receives the best care available.”
