Mason Greenwood re-arrested for breaching bail conditions – official statement from the Greater Manchester police confirmed.
Mason Greenwood of Manchester United has reportedly been detained once more for violating the terms of his bail, according to The Sun.
The United player was detained by Greater Manchester Police in January on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm, rape, and making ominous threats. The club has since suspended him from play.
He was released on bail after spending three nights in jail, and he has been awaiting word on whether or not he will face charges for the incident involving his ex-girlfriend.
According to The Sun, his latest arrest was brought about by a claim that he had contacted the victim in violation of the terms of his bail.
Greenwood is being questioned by police after they raided his £15,000-a-month property this morning, according to the outlet.
Greater Manchester Police are aware of a claim that a 21-year-old male violated the terms of his bail, and an arrest was made on Saturday, October 15, 2022, according to a GMP spokeswoman.
At this moment, inquiries are still being made.
After the victim shared audio and video recordings of Greenwood allegedly threatening to murder her unless she consented to a sexual act, the initial arrest was made.

She also shared images of wounds she claimed the United player was responsible for.
Later, the social media posts were removed.
Greenwood hasn’t kicked a ball since the beginning of the year, yet he is still employed by United and continues to get his £75,000 weekly salary.
His contract is valid through June 2025, therefore unless he is found guilty of a crime, United would be in breach of the agreement if they let him go.
For United, the prospective cost of buying out his contract would be close to £10 million.
