Napoli wants €100 million + Cristiano Ronaldo for the departure of Victor Osimhen, according to multiple reports.
Despite winning their previous two Premier League games, Manchester United still glaringly lacks an attacking outlet.
United are seriously lacking in the attacking department and require additions after Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, and Jesse Lingard all left on free transfers this summer.
This summer has been largely devoted to the pursuit of Ajax’s Antony, with the Amsterdam club turning down three different offers for the Brazilian, the most recent of which came in at €90 million.
Ajax has, however, rejected all three offers, leading Manchester United to debating whether or not to make a fourth offer or not to proceed with the transaction.

In response, Antony publicly acknowledged that he had asked to leave the team back in February, saying: “Since February of this year, my agents came to Amsterdam to inform Ajax of my desire to leave the club to face new challenge and that some interested clubs would arrive and with them, certainly a great offer.”
The future of Cristiano Ronaldo has also become a topic of controversy this summer, engulfing the Red Devils.
The 24-goal scorer’s desire to leave the team owing to a lack of transfer activity and Champions League action has been evident since early July.
However, it appears that no other elite club in Europe wants him despite the best efforts of his agent Jorge Mendes.
Atletico Madrid was the team that showed the most interest in signing him, but after fervent protests from supporters, the deal has been written off as being hopeless.
Sporting Lisbon, where Ronaldo previously played, also appeared to be a good fit, but the club’s sporting director reportedly declared that he would quit if Ronaldo was hired.
Ronaldo is now in a precarious situation as the Transfer Window’s last week approaches.
There may be one team left, Napoli, who could make a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, but it would require a lot of engineering to get it off.
Despite needing to generate money, Napoli has long been a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and their president is apparently interested in signing the striker.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is now Napoli’s prized and most valued player, therefore for Ronaldo to join the Italian team, a deal would probably need to see Osimhen go the opposite way.
According to reports, Jorge Mendes ‘assured’ Napoli that Manchester United will make a move for the Nigerian player shortly and that United would be willing to cover a sizable chunk of Ronaldo’s salaries should he sign with the Naples team.
Given that Napoli values the Nigerian striker at above €100 million, it is very possible that United would offer both Ronaldo and a substantial monetary sum in exchange for the forward.
Osimhen actually came within a whisker of joining Manchester United a few seasons ago, but ultimately decided against it because he did not want to face up against his idol Odion Ighalo.
