Negotiations are very advanced: Fabrizio Romano drops update about Real Madrid target Garnacho.
Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United’s newest prized asset, has been in excellent form lately, and with that comes speculation of a new contract.
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the rumors that United wish to reward Garnacho for his performances with a new contract.
In United’s final game before the World Cup break at Craven Cottage, Garnacho scored the game-winning goal.
He also scored against Real Sociedad in United’s final Europa League group match.
Real Madrid and Arsenal are very interested in signing the Manchester United youngster next summer, but a move seem very unlikely as he close to signing a new contract.
Manchester United want him to extend his stay at the club with a huge salary after his recent performances before the World Cup. He is a top talent and looks dangerous on the ball.
What has Fabrizio Romano said?
Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, Romano said that United and Garnacho are in early negotiations regarding a new contract. “Alejandro Garnacho, negotiations very advanced on new deal,” he stated. Man United already planned to do it in the summer, but they opted to wait as there wasn’t a complete agreement amongst all parties at the end of June.
“Garnacho is currently flourishing. He is regarded as a great talent. Man United then presented Garnacho with a contract offer. Although still in progress, negotiations are going quite well. Garnacho has signed a new five-year contract with a significant wage as a first-team player.
The 19-year-old recently discussed his work with Erik ten Hag in a media interview with the club: “In addition to being an excellent manager, Erik ten Hag is also a wonderful person. He always pays close attention to everyone of us and provides a lot of assistance, especially to the younger players.”
