Neymar ‘likes’ social media posts that directly call out Kylian Mbappe, this could get nasty.
Neymar, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, liked two “anti-Kylian Mbappe posts” on social media after the team’s 5-2 victory over Montpellier on Saturday.
It’s crucial to set the scene for this circumstance. After months of rumors about his future, Kylian Mbappe signed a new contract in May, arguably elevating him to the position of most important player at PSG.
The Ligue 1 champions are giving the Frenchman a say in how the club is run in addition to his hefty salary of €250 million over three years at Parc des Princes.
Mbappe will reportedly play a bigger part in the club’s overall decision-making, and that influence is already beginning to take shape.
Mbappe was said to have chosen the recent appointment of Luis Campos, a close friend from his time at AS Monaco, as sporting director.
After Mbappe missed a penalty during the team’s victory over Montpellier, Neymar, one of the club’s star players, made the decision to “like” a number of posts on Twitter about Mbappe.
“Today, in the PSG game, Neymar scored and HUMILIATED the goalkeeper (once again) in the penalty kick,” read the first tweet Neymar liked. On the other hand, Mbappé was hit VERY HARD and lost.
“The coach stated that Mbappé will be the team’s primary striker for the season after the game. It’s absurd.
Below, you can see evidence of Neymar’s “like.”
PSG received another penalty in the 43rd minute, as was mentioned in the previous post, and after speaking with Kylian Mbappe, the Brazilian stood up and scored from the spot.
Neymar continued after that. On Twitter, @Neymargiabr wrote: “Now it’s official, Mbappe is the one who takes the penalties at PSG,” which was the subject of the second post he liked.

“Clearly this is a contractual issue, as he wouldn’t be the second collector in any club in the world that has Neymar! It appears that Mbappe owns PSG as a result of the contract!
Neymar, a former forward for Barcelona, scored a clinical 12-yard goal to give the home team a 2-0 lead over Olivier Dall’Oglio’s team. With 51 remaining in the game, he added his second goal, bringing his season total to five goals.
On a different occasion, Kylian Mbappe appeared to stop running during a counterattack during the game on Saturday.
The PSG midfielder Vitinha brings the ball out from behind and has the choice of passing to Mbappe on the left or Lionel Messi on the right, as seen in a video.
When Vitinha decides to pass the ball to Messi, Mbappe raises his hands in the air before letting off the gas.
Christophe Galtier, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, downplayed the incident following the final whistle.
He admitted to Canal Plus, “I knew it was going to be tough on a physical level for him. Kylian played his last game three weeks ago.
He is an opponent. Although a top football player is not on and off like that; it takes some time for him to fully recover his athletic abilities. He wants to be good and wants to be good quickly.
“He’ll make a difference even more when he’s at 100%. These are the kind of players who attack and like to score. He should expect to feel disappointed about his physical disadvantage compared to his teammates.
