Official: Barcelona squad for the UEFA Champions League group stage games for 2022/23 season has been confirmed.
Prior to the start of their season this coming midweek, Barcelona has announced their team for the UEFA Champions League 2022–23.
Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alonso, two deadline-day acquisitions, are prominent members of the 23-man roster. In order to increase his alternatives for fullbacks, Xavi brought in the two players around the end of the transfer window.
Due in major part to the late-window departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Samuel Umtiti, and Martin Braithwaite, Barcelona had little trouble signing either of them.
Along with Alonso and Bellerin, Barça has also added other recent additions such Jules Kounde, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Andreas Christensen.
They are all anticipated to be crucial in assisting Barcelona to avoid the humiliation they experienced last year when the Catalans were eliminated from the group stages.
Memphis Depay and Pablo Torre are more intriguing players who have been added to the group.

Depay, for instance, was widely expected to leave Camp Nou at the end of the month, but the Dutchman ended up staying with the team and might provide Lewandowski with a competition this year.
Given that Torre has not been recognized as a member of the first team in La Liga, his inclusion in the squad is all the more intriguing. Although primarily due to the club’s financial limitations, he is formally a member of the Barça Athletic team.
Since Torre joined the team this summer and is ineligible to be added to List B, he is registered on List A of the squad for the Champions League.
The addition of Torre might provide the young player with a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in the first squad and establish his value in the most difficult competition club football has to offer.
Alejandro Balde and Gavi, academy graduates who were born after January 1, 2001, and who have been affiliated with the club for more than three years, will be included in List B.
Barcelona will play Viktoria Plzen at Camp Nou this coming week to begin their 2022–23 Champions League campaign. The squad roster has been released.
