Official: Robert Lewandowski has been nominated for the La Liga player of the month for September.
As we prepare for the first international break of the season and the resumption of the UEFA Nations League, La Liga will take a little vacation.
But a month into the new campaign, La Liga, in collaboration with EA SPORTS, has announced its nominees for the Forward of the Month award, including star player Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona.
The Polish international is included in a group of players that also includes some of the season’s best players, such as Federico Valverde of Real Madrid, Samu Castillejo, Dani Parejo, and Luis Felipe.
After a string of outstanding performances in La Liga over the previous month, Lewandowski was nominated. The attacker has had a fantastic start to his life in Spain after signing from Bayern Munich in the summer, netting eight goals in only six games.

By demonstrating his deadly goal-scoring ability in the last third, Lewandowski has been able to disprove his detractors. He has also won admiration from bystanders for his work ethic, experience, and leadership, making him the ideal attacking captain for Barça at this early stage of the season.
It also puts him among the favorites to win La Liga’s renowned POTM award, which ought to be enough to dispel any doubts that the Pole wouldn’t be able to duplicate his Bundesliga performance in Spain’s top division.
Lewandowski must keep up his scoring streak for Barcelona, not just in La Liga but also in the UEFA Champions League after the forward was criticized for missing a few crucial scoring opportunities against his previous team Bayern Munich. However, it is still early in the season.
