Pablo Gavi nominated for the UEFA Kopa award for the first time, alongside Camavinga.
Gavi, a midfielder for Barcelona, has been named a candidate for the Kopa Trophy, which is awarded annually to the top Under-21 player in Europe.
Following in the footsteps of previous winners like Kylian Mbappe and Matthijs de Ligt, Pedri won the award the previous year.
Gavi, a fellow Barca player who recently made a name for himself and is now a regular for both club and country, is now a candidate for the 2022 award.
Talented young people like Jude Bellingham, Ryan Gravenberch, Karim Adeyemi, Nuno Mendes, Jamal Musiala, and Bukayo Saka are also vying for the prize, so Gavi has a lot of competition.
Gavi eventually made 57 appearances for club and country in all competitions last season, shattering several records in the process.
With a goal against the Czech Republic, the teenager made history by becoming the youngest player to ever make his national team debut for Spain and the youngest goal scorer for La Roja.
Gavi is also the second-youngest player to have ever started a match against Real Madrid and has appeared in two Clasicos.
At the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris in October, the award’s winner will be declared ll.
