Pedri Gonzalez has recovered from his injury and the Spanish talent talks about Xavi Hernandez’s tactics and Iniesta.
The Spanish midfield talent was ruled out of the season in the second half of the campaign, but he is set to join the squad ahead of the pre-season tour in Australia.
Pedri Gonzalez was interviewed by the Guardian this month and talks about a lot of things ahead of the new season under Xavi.
Pedri Gonzalez has recovered from his injury
He is 100% fit and ready, according to multiple reports and he could work together with Bernardo Silva at the club next season.
The departure of Frenkie De Jong will make things easy for both parties as the Portuguese midfielder is open to join this summer.
Pedri interview
“Some clubs are satisfied with winning, however they do it. Barcelona wants to win but to do it playing the ball, creating chances, with this idea. I like this football more.”
“Busquets? He has to hold, attract, leave someone else one-on-one. We know he can face five, six players and clean them out.”
“Xavi is very clear about what each of us have to do: the interiors have to be between the lines, the ball moved from one side to the other.”
“Iniesta? He always seemed to be a great person. He had that calmness to play simply, to make it easier than it is. The way he could leave someone behind with a shift of gear always amazed me.”
