Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes tough Real Madrid and Tottenham decision amid Thomas Tuchel’s interest in signing him this summer.
The Barcelona star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang responded when asked to choose between Tottenham and Real Madrid.
The former Arsenal player joined the Camp Nou in the middle of the previous campaign and seems to still have some allegiance to his old squad.
That’s because he was forced to choose between his current team’s arch-enemy Real and Arsenal’s cross-town rivals Tottenham.
The 33-year-old was on ESPN’s “You Have To Answer” program and took a moment to consider his decision before supporting the Spanish team.
Fans of Arsenal obviously adored his response.
“Sitting in a Barca shirt and still selected Real Madrid over Spurs hahaha,” one Twitter user said.
Say whatever you want about Aubameyang, according to another tweet. But no Arsenal supporter can criticize this.
“Once a gooner, always a gooner,” a third person chimed in.
He despises the Spurs so badly that he didn’t even think, another person said.
The perennial Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo dispute was one of several other football- and non-football-related themes from which Aubameyang had to choose.
He chose Messi, the seven-time winner of the Ballon d’Or.
The legendary Brazilian player Pele was chosen over the late, great Diego Maradona by the Gabon international.
He debated between Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe for a while before choosing the former Arsenal players.
Karim Benzema was chosen by Aubameyang over Harry Kane, the star player for Spurs, as a further sign of his support for the player.
