Radamel Falcao sends a clear message to Manchester United fans after Old Trafford return on Sunday as he wishes Erik ten Hag and the team all the best.
During the preseason game against Man United, Rayo Vallecano included a well-known player in their lineup.
After returning to Old Trafford on Sunday with Rayo Vallecano, Radamel Falcao sent a message to Manchester United supporters.
Falcao, 36, scored four goals in 29 appearances in all competitions while on loan with United from AS Monaco during the 2014–2015 season.
After Louis van Gaal, a former United manager, initially welcomed him to the Premier League, the club decided against signing him permanently.
The 99-cap Colombian frontman, who began his career with River Plate, has previously played for Porto and Chelsea, but his best years were spent at Monaco and in Spain with Atletico Madrid.
Falcao played 24 competitive games for Rayo Vallecano after returning to La Liga last summer. Additionally, he played for them in a preseason match on Sunday at Old Trafford.
The game ended level after the veteran came so close to celebrating his comeback with a shot that clipped the goal frame.
After the game, Falcao said to the reporters, “Yes, they showed me that [love].” I sensed the fans. I like that a lot and found it enjoyable. I thought we performed admirably, and I wish United all the best.
“Almost [scored], but well, the ball was in the bar,” he continued. We then discover the 1-1 goal. I’m delighted with the outcome, to be honest.
“I always keep up with the squad and the games. Hopefully Manchester will have a successful season.
United’s preseason schedule is officially finished. This Sunday afternoon, Erik ten Hag and his team will host Brighton at Old Trafford for their Premier League season opener.
