In light of rumors that he is about to join Manchester United, Rasmus Hojlund ‘liked’ the club’s Instagram posts.
According to reports, United is hopeful of acquiring Hojlund from Atalanta before their campaign begins on August 14 against Wolves.
The 20-year-old attacker, who has appeared in fewer than 90 first-team games in his career, is wanted by the club but they are unwilling to pay more than £60 million for him. However, it is rumored that he will sign within the next two and a half weeks.
Erik ten Hag was questioned about Hojlund following a friendly loss to Real Madrid at the NRG Stadium by a score of 2-0.
The manager stated, “We never discuss players who are under contract with another team. We are working around-the-clock to find the appropriate talent to agree to a deal with us in order to meet our goals.
Although Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt has also been linked to Ten Hag side, Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly close to joining United after agreeing to personal terms with the English club.
Rasmus Hojlund has even intimated on his social media that he is eager to join the Premier League’s giant.
On United’s official Instagram, the striker liked a photo wishing injured youngster Kobbie Mainoo a swift recovery as he showed his support to the England international.
The Ten Hag team is eager to learn the full nature of the injury that kept Mainoo out of last night’s loss to Real Madrid.
Ten Hag chose the 18-year-old to play against Los Blancos in Houston following an impressive showing against Arsenal on Saturday. However, Mainoo only lasted a few minutes before Rodrygo unintentionally ran into him after Casemiro barged into him.
Throughout the preseason, Ten Hag has embraced youth. Hojlund is not yet a complete forward, but the United management is confident that the Dutchman can help the striker reach his full potential because of his age, the Guardian reports. The United manager is additionally thought to be impressed with Hojlund’s commitment to working hard to advance.
Hojlund is usually thought of by United as a No. 9, but Ten Hag apparently occasionally tried to use him across the frontline.
